Historic Berwyn’s Bungalow Tour

Sunday September 29, 2019 – noon to 5 pm

About the Tour

Join the Berwyn Historical Society for our 13th annual bungalow tour, Bungalows and More, on Sunday September 29th, 2019, from Noon to 5:00 pm.

This tour will showcase houses and historical sites in north Berwyn, near the historic Grant Locomotive strip (between 19th Ave eastbound and 19th Ave westbound).  Before Berwyn was incorporated as a city, the Grant Locomotive Company in Cicero had a railroad spur extending into Berwyn as far as Ridgeland Ave. Today that strip of land includes a city pumping station, a children’s splash park, green space, and one house.

Tour goers will see how older houses have been preserved and adapted for modern living. Two special features of the tour will be a “bungalow castle” and the Bugles Museum of “Bugles Across America.”

All participants must check in the day of the tour at the Berwyn Historical Society building:  1401 Grove Avenue, Berwyn, IL 60402.

All proceeds benefit the Berwyn Historical Society, NFP. This event is the Berwyn Historical Society's largest fundraiser of the year.

Please show your support for this worthwhile organization and join us for the tour.
