Historic Berwyn’s Bungalow Tour

Sunday September 28, 2014 – noon to 5 pm

About the Tour

Join the Berwyn Historical Society for our 8th annual bungalow tour, Bungalows and More, on Sunday September 28, 2014, from noon to 5:00 pm.

This year's tour features a selection of houses located in south Berwyn, in the vicinity of Proksa Park.

South Berwyn is home to some of the city's oldest houses. With development occurring between the last quarter of the 19th century and the first quarter of the 20th century, south Berwyn's housing landscape is noticeably different from that of central Berwyn, where Berwyn's largest concentration of Chicago-style bungalows is found.

This year's tour will feature some of Berwyn's older housing styles as well as the ubiquitous Chicago-style bungalow. Tour goers will be treated to some history while being able to view the interiors of these homes. See how older houses have been preserved or adapted for modern living.

This is the Berwyn Historical Society's largest fundraiser of the year. Please show your support for this worthwhile organization and join us for the tour.

All participants must check-in the day of the tour at the Berwyn Historical Society headquarters:
1401 Grove Ave, Berwyn, IL 60402

All proceeds benefit the Berwyn Historical Society, NFP.

The Berwyn Historical Society wishes to thank these businesses and organizations for their generous support of this event, both financial and in-kind.
